So, when I started this blog it was my intention to post at least once a week. Just want to get a little insight into my life and what's going on with me.
This blog was originally intended to be a travel photography/what's going on in my life kind of thing. That pretty much changed last month.
So in the last couple months I've gotten to see several amazing artists live and to some extent, share that with all of you. This all is in part(almost entirely) due to my brother, who pushed me to go to the first show that I was able to photograph. I was honestly a little apprehensive and a lot nervous. My settings were all wrong on my camera, I wasn't quite sure how to work with the crowd right behind me. However there were two photographers that each gave me a little advice when I was there. This of course is when I saw MisterWives at Gallagher Way. I found out that I had access only the night before, had to order camera batteries for my new(to me) Sony A7II and when the Amazon truck got there with them, have someone at home plug them in so I even had a camera to use as it wasn't charging with the cord that came with it. Luckily the batteries got there in time, got plugged in, and were ready for me to catch the UP-N Metra to Ravenswood to get to the show in time. All in all, my anxiety was pretty high all day at work when wondering if things were gonna work out.
That being said, my impressions of that first show with Annie DiRusso opening for MisterWives can now be seen in the two previous blog posts. Silversun Pickups, Speedy Ortiz, Lili Refrain, and Kalandra will be coming up in the next few weeks.
I'll also have some nice little posts upcoming about some trips I've taken including driving from the Chicago area to Arizona in August and some international travel the past couple weeks. The photo above is a preview of what's to come.
I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and check back soon.
More live music content is in the works, as well as some good stuff to be posted on the Ellison.Works instagram soon. Feel free to check out the shop for shirts, phone cases and more printed with my artwork and photos.
